HOW TO GET STARTED

PREP YOUR WORKSPACE

  • Open up your kit and pull everything out

  • Find a flat space to work! You will need to leave the jacket here for 24 hours to dry so make sure it is in a place where it won’t be disturbed!

  • Grab a few paper towels! You’ll need these later.

PREP YOUR JACKET

  • Unbutton your jacket and lay it completely flat. Pull the arms and front of the jacket out to the sides and make sure there are no creases or bumps in the fabric, this will give you the best results.

PREP YOUR PAINT

  • Before opening your paints, give them a good shake. This will ensure the paint is thoroughly mixed and ready to go.

  • Still closed, flip your paint bottle tip side down and gently tap it on your paper towel, this will ensure any air bubbles disperse so your paint doesn’t splatter!

  • Twist open your paint bottle and gently squeeze over your paper towel until a little drop of paint comes out, this also will ensure your paint will not splatter when starting your jacket!

LET’S BEGIN PAINTING!

Don’t forget to watch the video tutorial below before you begin!

ADDING YOUR PAINT

  • On your flat jacket, choose your first solid color to get started with.

  • Lightly squeeze lines all around the heart. You can make these as thin or thick as you’d like, and do as many or as few as you’d like!

  • Once you are happy with the lines in your first color, grab your second solid color and repeat the same process.

  • Now, grab the glitter paint and repeat the process again.

  • At this point, we like to take our little paintbrush and do a little mixing. This will give it a more whimsical look! If you like how your jacket looks without the blending, you can skip this step!

DRY TIME

  • Because of the thick paint, you jacket will need a full 24 hours to completely dry! We do not recommend moving it at all during this time.

AFTER CARE

  • Spot treat only! This jacket cannot go in the washer or dryer, it will ruin all of the beautiful work you did!

  • We recommend mixing a 4:1 ratio of water to laundry soap to spot treat. Use a dark or light wash cloth (depending on your jacket color) to lightly rub the spot that needs cleaning.

  • Air dry any spot treatments.
